Above average Chinese take out. Fried rice and sesame chicken were perfect! Get the dinner combo its a perfect amount of food. Yummm. The wonton soup was okay--I got the dinner combo with soup and an egg roll. I don't think I would order the soup separately because it wasn't that good, but I ate it because it came with the combo. I have also eaten in and was pleased with the service! Good for eating in or taking out!

I was NOT happy with the food I received from this restaurant at ALL. My family and I walked in to order take out from there, and we sat in the restaurant while we waited. We drove right home (3 minute drive) and when we opened the boxes, EVERYTHING was either cold or lukewarm, which means it must have been either reheated leftovers or heated under a heat lamp. Fresh Chinese food is ALWAYS very hot, and this was nowhere close. Go to Big Chef instead.

The steamed dumplings and General Tso's chicken are outstanding and the owner is incredibly kind. I always feel like going there was the right decision.

FYI The shrimp and mixed vegetables ALWAYS comes spicy...so if you don't want spicy you gotta somehow make these people understand. I recently ordered the shrimp and mixed vegetables by phone....I clearly requested that it NOT BE SPICY...but they screwed up and forget... OK...I can forgive these people the first time. But then it happened a second time...and I had just explained to them that they already did this one time...and please don't do it again...you gotta wonder if these people understand English. Other than this faux pas, they are more expensive than Big Chef...however they have much fresher shrimp. Plus the vegetables are fresher. Need to try the one next to the old Super Fresh

This is the best Chinese in the area. The vegetables are fresh and cooked so that there is still a slight crispness. The sauces are perfect and they can adjust the level of spiciness to your preference. I requested extra spicy which may have been a slight overkill. It was loaded with the dried hot peppers. It may have been better if the peppers were re-hydrated a bit before adding it to the dish. The rice was a little dry like it wasn't cooked with enough water. However, it was a good and satisfying meal. My husband and I ordered 2 entrees each plus spring rolls and hot&sour soup so that we had a variety. It lasted us 3 meals! I would recommend this place if you are in the area and craving Chinese food. You may eat in the restaurant or order carry out. The prices are very reasonable, the food is good quality, and the portions are huge!

Awful food...ordered general tso's and egg roll. Egg roll was frozen inside, informed manager but didn't ask for another one. Still got charged for it. Diet soda was flat and general tso's was bland. Hard to imagine a standard Chinese food dish could be so horribly messed up. Will try other places for Chinese food fixes in future.

I ordered General tso's, Wonton soup and Shrimp fried rice. It came out to 20 dollars. Are you serious, I can go to the other place near the Mexican place and get all of that for less than 14 dollars. The wonton wasn't even hot but it was good. My biggest issue was the price of the food. I didn't get what should amount to 20$. I wont be eating there again.

Decent take out here and that's pretty much all I have to say. I don't eat inside any more because they take to long to bring you your food. They are remodeling the inside but that still doesn't matter to me, its not like that is going to make their food so much better.

Want some overpriced, underseasoned Chinese food straight out of 1958? Then this is your kinda place. Other than the Orange Chicken, I didn't eat one item in four trips to this restaurant that I considered good. I will not be back, ever. This is far inferior to Big Chef, though it's cleaner and newer.

Great basic Chinese food at a super price. We love the crabmeat cheese wontons as an appetizer. Lemon and orange chicken are great and they make a super Kung Pao chicken.

Interior is dated. Carpet is dirty. Kitchen is not clean.

So much potential. Mt Airy is starving for a good chinese restaurant.

This was literally the most disgusting Chinese takeout I've ever had. I called in and while the employees were very friendly, they didn't even have delivery. I'm not from the area so I had to go look for it, which wasn't particularly difficult, but the idea of a Chinese takeout place without delivery doesn't make much sense to me. The place was dead empty when I picked the food up, which should have been a red flag on a Friday night. I ordered sweet and sour chicken, sesame beef, and steamed dumplings. I know Chinese doesn't ever really have the best quality meat but I had to use a steak knife to get through the sesame beef. The sauce was good but the meat was probably the lowest quality I've ever had and I stopped eating after I found a piece that was still raw in the middle. The sweet and sour chicken was obviously reheated and came in a carryout container that had more vegetables and pineapple than chicken. The sauce was weirdly thick and tasted old. The dumplings were okay but the sauce was unappetizing. The prices were pretty consistent with most Chinese carryout places but this was by far the worst quality Chinese I've ever had.

I am so tired of eating Chinese food that has been reheated in the microwave. This place is famous for it. I just ordered carryout and my meal was ready in less than 4 minutes. It's so hot, I can't even eat it. China Garden in Frederick does the same thing. Their soup comes out dangerously hot.

Good American-Chinese food in the 'burbs. The place is much larger than its strip mall front would have you believe. Not fancy but extremely clean and well kept, and thankfully no overload of tacky decor. Service is very attentive (no empty water glasses here!)

We ordered dinner for carry-out tonight. We ordered moo shee vegetables with extra pancakes and we didn't get ANY pancakes. We also ordered a family favorite Pineapple Chicken. It used to be white chicken breast cuts and pineapple in a sweet sauce. Tonight it was mostly cut green peppers, onions, and carrots, with a few pieces of pineapple and even less chicken. VERY disappointing. Make sure you double-check your order before leaving the restaurant.

Good Chinese food with decent prices. We've only done takeout order pickup so I can't speak to the sit down service but takeout orders have been fast, pleasant, and efficient.

If we could give half stars, I'd probably go with three and a half rather than the four. This is decent but not great chinese food at a reasonable price. All your favorites are here along with daily chefs specials which will differ from the usual fare. Prices are reasonable and "combination platters" are available which include choice of soup and egg or spring roll. Service has always been very good when we've been there, if you like it spicy, be sure to let them know....

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
